Lewis Tan is a British actor, model, and stuntman who is best known for playing Zhou Cheng in the Netflix original series “Iron Fist,” Gaius Chan in the series “Into the Badlands,” Shatterstar in the film “Deadpool 2,” and Lu Xin Lee in the series “Wu Assassins.” Tan was born in Salford, England, and his father, Philip Tan, was also a martial artist, actor, and stunt coordinator. Tan and his family moved to Los Angeles when he was young as his father earned the role of fight coordinator on the “Batman” film. Tan’s father began teaching him martial arts at a young age and he also began his work in theatre as a teenager before later studying performing arts with John Kirby. While working under John Kirby, Tan began performing in various plays and would perform his own stunts using Muay Thai, Kung Fu, Ju-Jitsu, and katana swordplay. Tan made his film debut in “China Cry: A True Story” as a child.
