The band consists of the duo Thomas Haywood and Charlie McGough and they duo formed while studying at Manchester University. They then went on to begin touring locally before recording and releasing their debut EP, “Hidden Horror Dance.” Their debut EP featured singles which included “ICB Blues,” and “Swine.” After the release of their debut EP, The Blinders signed to Modern Sky UK and then went on to release their debut studio album, “Columbia.” This album featured one of their best known singles, “Brave New World,” which was featured in a William Hill television ad. The Blinders then went on to release their first live album, “Live at The Ritz,” which was a sold out show they performed at The Ritz in Manchester. The following year the band released their second album, “Fantasies of a Stay at Home Psychopath.” Over the course of their career, The Blinders have toured all over Europe and have opened for artists and bands which include Blossoms, Cabbage, The Charlatans, and The View. They have also performed at Reading and Leeds Festival, South by Southwest, Glastonbury Festival, and at Kendal Calling.
