Paloma Faith is an English singer-songwriter and actress who performs a wide variety of genres which include RnB, pop, soul, disco and jazz. Faith was born in London, England, and she has previously studied contemporary dance at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds. She then studied theatre directing at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Faith found her love for acting after she began mimicking famous soul and jazz singers such as Etta James and Billie Holiday. From there, she went on to perform in the band Paloma and the Penetrators. After a while, she broke off into a solo career and released her debut single, “Stone Cold Sober,” which peaked at number 17 on the UK Singles Chart before releasing her second single “New York,” which charted at number 15 on the UK charts. That same year, Faith released her debut album, “Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful,” which peaked at number 14 on the UK Albums chart. Her debut studio album went on to go BPI two-time platinum. Since then, Faith has released four more studio albums, “Fall to Grace,” which earned BPI two-time platinum, “A Perfect Contradiction,” which went BPI two-time platinum, and “The Architect,” which went BPI certified platinum. Some of Faith’s most popular singles include “Picking Up the Pieces,” “Never Tear Us Apart,” “Only Love Can Hurt Like This,” “Crybaby,” “Lullaby,” and “Make Your Own Kind of Music.”.
