Mitch Grassi is an American singer-songwriter, arranger and musician from Arlington, Texas, who rose to fame as the quintet a cappella of Pentatonix, and has also been a part of the duo Superfruit, alongside Scott Hoying. Grassi found himself singing along to various pop songs at a young age and also met fellow Pentatonix members Scott Hoying and Kirstin Maldonado when he was young as all three did musical theater together. The trio then later began what became known as Pentatonix as Grassi, Hoying, and Maldonado all participated in choir while in high school.
