Kortney Jamaal Pollard, better known as his stage name Mali Music, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer who was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and grew up is based out of Savannah, Georgia. Mali began learning how to play the piano when he was only five years old and by the time he was 11, he was involved in the ministry of music at his local church. Mali then went on to begin pursuing a professional musical career after releasing his debut studio album, “The Coming,” through Bystorm. The following year, Mali released his second album, “The 2econd Coming,” and didn’t release another album for another five years before releasing his third album, “Mali Is…”. His third album was his first charting album and it peaked at number 16 on the US Billboard charts and at number 2 on the US RnB charts. Three years after that, Mali released his fourth album, “The Transition of Mali,” which peaked at number 117 on the US Billboard charts, number 14 on the US RnB charts and at number 49 on the US RnB/Hip-Hop charts. Most recently, Mali has released his fourth album, “The Book of Mali.” He has previously been nominated for three Grammy Awards and has won one GMA Dove Award for his work on “Tell the World.” Some of Mali’s most popular songs include “Blessed,” “Loved By You,” “Beautiful,” “Contradiction,” and “Let Go.”.
