Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, better known as his stage name The Kid Laroi is an Australian singer-songwriter, rapper and record producer. Laroi was born in Waterloo, New South Wales and was born into a musical family as his parents both worked in the musical industry. Laroi studied at the Australian Performing Arts Grammar School and by the time he was 13 years old, he began taking music seriously and began rapping as means to escape from his struggles. He went on to begin his musical career forming the duo Dream Team with DJ Ladykiller but disbanded before releasing anything. He then went on to pursue a solo career under the name The Kid Laroi and released his debut EP, “14 With a Dream,” which led him to be a finalist for the Triple J Unearthed high competition. The Kid Laroi then became gaining international attention after the release of “Let Her Go” which has earned RIAA certified gold. He then released another popular single “Diva” which features Lil Tecca and earned ARIA and RIAA certified gold. The Kid Laroi has since released the mixtape “F*ck Love” which has earned RIAA and RMNZ certified gold and BPI certified silver. His other popular songs include “Go,” “So Done,” and “Without You.”.
