Ignacio Matias Spallatti, better known as his stage name Ecko is an up-and-coming Latin singer-songwriter who began his career participating in various freestyle competitions which included El Quinto Escalon and the Redbull Batalla de Gallos. Ecko was born in La Matanza, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and while growing up, Ecko knew he wanted to pursue a musical career after listening to Calle 13’s album at eight years old. He then knew for certain he wanted to pursue music even more after listening to Eminem. Ecko also finds influence in various artists which include Daddy Yankee, Residente and Don Omar. He blends together musical genres which include rap, trap, and reggaeton. After competing in various freestyle competitions, Ecko’s songs “Disputa” and “Dealer de Skills” became known all over Argentina. He then went on to release the single “Dorado,” which led him to tour all over Spain. Since then, Ecko has gone on to earn millions of followers and has topped the charts in Argentina. He has recently made his way into the United States after performing at the festival SXSW in Austin, Texas. Ecko currently has nearly 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Most recently, he has released his debut album “Young Golden.” Some of his most popular songs include “Zigzag,” “Malportau,” “Cama Vacia,” “West Side,” and “Reggaeton De Antes.”.
