The Japanese House Booking Agency Profile

Amber Mary Bain, better known as her stage name, The Japanese House, is an English indie-pop musician from Buckinghamshire, England, whose music is a mixture of dream pop, indie pop, electropop and yacht rock. Through her work, Bain uses instruments such as a synthesizer, sampler, keyboard, guitar, bass and drums to create her music. She found her love for music as a child as her father was a musician and she went on to begin learning how to record music throughout her childhood and began recording her own music at only 11 years old. As she was a teenager, Bain decided to pursue a career in music other than going to study in college. She then later signed with the label Dirty Hit and penned the name The Japanese House before releasing her debut single, “Still,” which premiered on BBC Radio 1 with Zane Lowe. Shortly after, Bain went on to open for The 1975 on tour and released singles which included “Pools to Bathe In,” “Teeth,” and “Sister,” before releasing her debut EP, “Pools to Bathe In.” Since then, The Japanese House has released four EPs over the years which include “Clean,” “Swim Against the Tide,” and “Saw You in a Dream.” She has also recently released her debut studio album, “Good at Falling,” which peaked at number 64 on the UK charts..
