Augustine Miles Kelechi, better known as his stage name Tekno, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter from Bauchi, Bauchi State, Nigeria. His music is a mixture of Afrobeats, hip-hop and RnB. Tekno found his love for music at only eight years old after he enrolled in a music school and learned how to play the piano and guitar. He later began his musical career after signing with K-Money Entertainment. This led him to release his debut single “Holiday,” which featured Davido and went on to earn massive airplay. He then went on to catch the attention of Juilius Agwu and he then met Ubi Franklyn and Iyanya, whom talked him into moving to Lagos to further his musical career. Tekno then signed with Made Men Music Group and released his singles “Dance” and “Anything,” both of which earned him a nomination in the Best New Act of the Year category at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. Most recently, Tekno has released his debut studio album, “Old Romance.” Currently, Tekno has over 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Some of his most streamed songs include “Pana,” “Skeletun,” “DON’T JEALOUS ME,” “GO,” and “Duro.” Tekno has previously won an MTV Africa Music Award for Best New Act and has also won a Nigeria Music Video Award in Best Pop Extra Video for “Duro.”.
