Kirk Muller was a left winger for the NHL, a career that spanned nearly two decades. During his career, he played for the Kingston Voyageurs, the Kingston Canadians, the Guelph Platers, the New Jersey Devils, the Canadian International league, the Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Florida Panthers, and the Dallas Stars. Kirk’s junior career began with the Kingston Canadians within the OHL before moving onto the Guelph Platers. Kirk was a highly sought-after player. The Canadian Olympic Team and the Guelph Platers actually fought over him in 1984 during the Winter Olympics that year. Kirk went on to play in Montreal, where he helped win the 1993 Stanley Cup. From the start of his career until that point, Kirk played in six different NHL All-Star Games. Kirk eventually retired from playing in 2003. Following this, he took up coaching. It started with Queen’s University Golden Gaels, a team residing in the town of Kingston, where Kirk is from. He also served as assistant coach for Team Canada. He helped them achieve the gold medal in the 2005 Lotto Cup Tournament in the country of Slovakia. Most recently, Kirk served as the Associate Coach for the Calgary Flames..
