Corrosion of Conformity a metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina. The sludge metal, southern rock, and “stoner rock” band formed all the way back in 1982. While they’ve had multiple line-up changes throughout their time on the scene, they’ve remained consistent with their musical output (with the exception of a four-year hiatus between 2006 and 2010). Guitarist Woody Weatherman remains the constant member. Currently, the band consists of Woody Weatherman, Mike Dean, Pepper Keenan, and John Green. Corrosion of Conformity returned after their hiatus in 2010 without former member Keenan, who was way too busy touring and recording with Down. Not only has the band gone through different members, but their sound has also evolved quite a bit. They started out as a hardcore punk band but made their way into heavy metal music.
