Patrick got into art when he was very, very young – his mother was a poet and his dad was a musician who played folk music and the blues. Patrick was inspired by his two parents and began writing lyrics and learning to play the guitar. When he was in middle school, he began performing in bands, with whom he began writing music more seriously and started to get really good at it. Following graduation, he moved to New York City and started taking music seriously. Within a mere eight months, he made his way to Los Angeles and found himself working a variety of jobs before his music career took off. In 2000, Patrick created his very first demo collection called “The Basement Tapes”, which was recorded in the back of a store that his friend’s girlfriend owned. Patrick soon became friends with Dave Trumfio, a music producer, and the two of them started working on Patrick’s new songs. He released the EPs “Under the Unminding Skies”, “Rarities”, and “Patrick Park” in 2003. That same year, Patrick released his debut studio album “Loneliness Knows My Name”..
