Terry Cummings is a retired National Basketball Association player. He played for 18 seasons with seven different teams. He is a two time NBA All-Star player. Born and raised in Chicago, Terry went to DePaul University where he averaged 16.4 points per game. After leaving DePaul Cummings entered the NBA Draft where he was taken 2nd overall by the San Diego Clippers. While playing his rookie season for the Clippers, Cummings won the Rookie of the Year Award after putting up 23.7 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. Cummings suffered from heartbeat irregularities, which would keep him out the remaining two weeks of the season. The team lost every game without him. In his third season Terry was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. He kept his stats up posting above 20 point and 8 rebound averages for four out of his five years on the team. Cummings moved on to play for the Antonio Spurs for six years. Three years in Cummings suffered a knee injury and missed much of the next season. Upon returning to the team he was used in more of a reserve capacity. Cumming returned to the Bucks then bounced around from the Seattle Supersonics to the Philadelphia 76ers, then to the New York Knicks and finally playing for the Golden State Warriors.
