Spector Booking Agency Profile

Book Spector for your next corporate event, function, or private party.
In order to start concentrating on music that they believed was a more contemporary expression of their ideals, Spector decided to stop touring and promoting their debut album "Enjoy It While It Lasts" at the beginning of 2013. Chris Burman and Fred Macpherson, two of Spector's founding members, have been collaborating and sharing a number of "experiments in pop" from their early adolescence. However, after releasing one album and working with them for two years, Burman considered their purpose accomplished. He believed that they had succeeded in their goal of disrupting the status quo while living the experiences they had always fantasized about as ardent 13-year-old NME subscribers after they visited Japan, played "Jools Holland," appeared at Coachella, sold out Shepherd's Bush Empire, and repeatedly toured the European festival circuit. The day after Fred landed in New York to begin working on samples of ideas for their second album, he parted ways with the group via a "very polite Skype chat." A musical journey of eighteen months would now begin in order to finish "Moth Boys." The band began to create a new sound under the direction of Dev Hynes, an old friend of Fred's, primarily as a result of their altered circumstances, first in New York and subsequently in London. The lack of a studio drummer meant that most of the beats were generated electronically, while Jed and Dev's playing styles put a stop to the motorik rhythm guitar that had accompanied so much of their debut album. Away from the touring schedule and any concerns about how they would perform their new work live, the band alternated between recording sessions in studios and at their homes while creating and sharing music they loved. The Blue Nile, Phoenix, Frank Ocean, and the faded neon electronics of Jed's regular DJ performances served as inspiration for the band, which ultimately produced over 20 finished songs..

Spector's current work schedule and location in relation to your event's type, date, budget, and locality will play a primary factor in the acceptance of booking Spector for your party. As long as your funding is commensurate with the price range to book Spector, CTI will propose your event to the official agency representing Spector. CTI can give you the accurate Spector booking price once we submit your event details to their camp. "How much does it cost to book Spector for an event?" is a frequent question we get. The final Spector booking price is contingent on many variables and the booking fee we may show is based on a range derived from our past experience with what will Spector charge for an event. An example fee to book Spector is in the starting range of $25,000-$39,999. However, any recent popularity change would cause a price fluctuation well beyond this example. Also, their speaking fee might be different than the fee shown for the cost to perform or to just appear. Popularity, career stage, along with current demand will cause fluctuations in their speaking price as well. The final booking price may be more than what is shown, but you should at least have a budget within that range for them to consider an appearance, performance or speaking engagement.
CTI negotiates on behalf of professional event planners and talent buyers for paid appearances! We cannot give out direct contact information of the Spector agent or help distribute fan mail, personal messages, gifts, requests for free appearances, or donations of time. The Spector manager and agent will only work with us if we present them with funded offers for their client to work your event.
There is low probability to book Spector for a party with anything substantially less than the published booking cost price range. We will negotiate with the Spector agent on your behalf if your funding is in place. By not having funding ready then it will more difficult to book Spector, because they get many offers to work events that are at or above asking price. It is also important to consider the travel costs when researching the Spector booking fee, as additional expenses like this, as well as an entourage of staff and equipment, are not necessarily built-in to the booking fee range shown. If your budget does not factor that in, then there is no benefit for them to want to be hired. We do not personally speak for Spector, but in our experience in booking talent for over 25 years, this is generally the outcome of inadequate funding.
