Yury Lyamkin, who also goes by the name George, is a musician and songwriter who lives in Moscow. He started Liamkins as a solo project. He first started a band named The Plane in Moscow in 2002, and his song "One Diamond" was later put on a CD by NME (New Musical Express, Russian version). Yury continued to perform in hip Moscow clubs, where he gained greater notoriety in 2005 when Play magazine included his song "No one can play" on its CD.  Yury later changed the name of his band to Updiverss and worked with producers Siggi Bemm and Dan Diamond to make his debut album, "I Am Happy With My Jacket," at the Woodhouse Studio in Hagen, Westfalen.  European radio stations regularly broadcast Updiverss tunes (Krass Radio-Germany, Pulse Rated-UK, Radio Netherland, Belarus Radio Stations). The band's song "Treasure" peaked at number one on Midnight Special Blues Radio's top 50. (Paris, 2009). The group participated in a number of events, including the 2005 Linz Fest in Austria and Nashtviye, the largest rock festival in Russia (2009). Yury started his current band, Liamkins, in 2010. They play in Moscow arenas and on Poptastic Radio, an online radio station. Liamkins' players came together in May 2012 at MMS Records with drummer Michael Ponkratyev, producers Andrey Sinyaev and Timur Dolotkazin, to record their album "Reason Softly Speaks Or Just Make It Louder.".
