The Dare Booking Agency Profile

The Dare, an English rock group from Oldham, England, is led by Darren Wharton, a former Thin Lizzy keyboardist. Up to this point, they have put out ten albums—nine studio and one live. Out of the Silence, the band's debut album, was made available via A&M Records. At singer Joni Mitchell's home studio in Beverly Hills, it was recorded. Darren Wharton provided the vocals and keyboards for this album, together with Vinny Burns on guitars, Martin "Shelley" Shelton on bass, James Ross on drums, and (now Professor) Brian Cox on keyboards.
Despite Blood from Stone reaching a peak of No. 48 on the UK Albums Chart, Dare's album sales slowed down and the band was sacked from their label (which had been acquired by Polygram). Dare did have some success in Europe. Additionally, the group had five tracks on the UK Singles Chart: "Abandon," "Nothing Is Stronger Than Love" and "The Raindance" as well as "We Don't Need a Reason" and "Real Love" from Blood from Stone.
The third album, Calm Before the Storm, produced by Wharton, wouldn't be released until much later.
The band Dare announced Road To Eden, their most recent album and Legend Records set a release date. Born in the Storm, the album's opening tune, was also revealed at the same time. The band's original lineup for the record is still Vinny Burns on guitars, Kevin Whitehead on drums, Nigel Clutterbuck on bass, and Marc Roberts on keyboards and vocals. The 12-date main UK tour announcement took place from Leeds to Newbury. Later, further dates were added, one of which was a visit to the Cambridge Rock Festival..

CTI can give you the accurate The Dare booking price once we submit your event details to their camp. "How much does it cost to book The Dare for an event?" is a frequent question we get. The final The Dare booking price is contingent on many variables and the booking fee we may show is based on a range derived from our past experience with what will The Dare charge for an event. An example fee to book The Dare is in the starting range of $25,000-$39,999. However, any recent popularity change would cause a price fluctuation well beyond this example. Also, their speaking fee might be different than the fee shown for the cost to perform or to just appear. Popularity, career stage, along with current demand will cause fluctuations in their speaking price as well. The final booking price may be more than what is shown, but you should at least have a budget within that range for them to consider an appearance, performance or speaking engagement.
CTI negotiates on behalf of professional event planners and talent buyers for paid appearances! We cannot give out direct contact information of the The Dare agent or help distribute fan mail, personal messages, gifts, requests for free appearances, or donations of time. The The Dare manager and agent will only work with us if we present them with funded offers for their client to work your event.
There is low probability to book The Dare for a party with anything substantially less than the published booking cost price range. We will negotiate with the The Dare agent on your behalf if your funding is in place. By not having funding ready then it will more difficult to book The Dare, because they get many offers to work events that are at or above asking price. It is also important to consider the travel costs when researching the The Dare booking fee, as additional expenses like this, as well as an entourage of staff and equipment, are not necessarily built-in to the booking fee range shown. If your budget does not factor that in, then there is no benefit for them to want to be hired. We do not personally speak for The Dare, but in our experience in booking talent for over 25 years, this is generally the outcome of inadequate funding.
