American rock musician Des Rocs hails from New York, New York. Daniel Rocco, a native of New York, is the producer and director of the solo project Des Rocs. Longtime friends and bandmates William Tully and Eric Mendelsohn travel with Rocco. Rock groups including Muse, The Rolling Stones, and The Struts have all toured with Des Rocs. Muse, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Roy Orbison, Kanye West, and Queen are among Rocco's influences, but his main emphasis is on individualism and sounding different from other rock musicians. From the age of 13, Rocco started playing in basements and pubs. He had previously played in the band Secret Weapons, which had served as the opening act for acts like Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, and Weezer, before forming Des Rocs. After bandmate Gerry Lang's Lyme condition worsened his health, Secret Weapons eventually took a permanent halt. Let The Vultures In, his debut EP, was made available in November 2018. The Once In A Lifetime tour, which features Canadian rock group The Blue Stones as co-headliners, was confirmed for the spring of 2022. The trip covered more than 20 cities across the country's middle, starting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and finishing in Columbus, Ohio. First In Flight and Clay Melton served as the tour's opening acts. The Blue Stones did not play the final three dates of the tour in St. Louis, MO, Nashville, TN, or Columbus, OH, leaving Des Rocs as the only headliner.
