Phi11a was raised in Sydney's Inner-West, where his family had a hard time making ends meet. Nowhere really felt like home as they moved from house to house. At the age of only six, his mother abandoned the household. His dad ended up taking responsibility for Phi11a and his brother's upbringing, which had a significant impact on him personally. His brother's prolonged brain injury was made more difficult by the fact that he technically passed away for 11 minutes during open heart surgery.
