Parquet Courts Booking Agency Profile

After a ton of touring and a string of literate and scrappy albums recorded for What's Yr Rupture and Rough Trade, Parquet Courts firmly established themselves as one of their era's marquee bands. They do this by blending noisy, punk-friendly clatter with snarky, sometimes serious lyrics delivered in a menacing monotone. As the decade went on, the band started to experiment with their tried-and-true formula. They worked with rapper Bun B on a single, collaborated with Italian producer Daniele Luppi on Milano and looked into new influences (dance punk, new wave) for the records Wide Awake! and Sympathy for Life, both of which were produced by Danger Mouse.
Austin Brown on guitar and vocals, Andrew Savage, a former member of Fergus & Geronimo, Sean Yeaton on bass and Max Savage on drums make up the Brooklyn-via-Texas band. The group frequently performed in the greater New York region, and its debut record, American Specialties, was only available on cassette (a vinyl release followed). The band's first U.S. tour followed the release of its more widely available full-length, Light Up Gold, on the Dull Tools label.
On their album Sympathy for Life, they carried on exploring funk in more intellectual ways. The record, which was put together from unplanned jams and polished with help from Hot Chip producer Rodaidh McDonald, had ambiance and dub elements and was reminiscent of some of the more avant-garde dancefloor experiments by Talking Heads, Primal Scream and Bowie..

The final Parquet Courts booking price is contingent on many variables and the booking fee we may show is based on a range derived from our past experience with what will Parquet Courts charge for an event. An example fee to book Parquet Courts is in the starting range of $40,000-$74,999. However, any recent popularity change would cause a price fluctuation well beyond this example. Also, their speaking fee might be different than the fee shown for the cost to perform or to just appear. Popularity, career stage, along with current demand will cause fluctuations in their speaking price as well. The final booking price may be more than what is shown, but you should at least have a budget within that range for them to consider an appearance, performance or speaking engagement.

By not having funding ready then it will more difficult to book Parquet Courts, because they get many offers to work events that are at or above asking price. It is also important to consider the travel costs when researching the Parquet Courts booking fee, as additional expenses like this, as well as an entourage of staff and equipment, are not necessarily built-in to the booking fee range shown. If your budget does not factor that in, then there is no benefit for them to want to be hired. We do not personally speak for Parquet Courts, but in our experience in booking talent for over 25 years, this is generally the outcome of inadequate funding.
