Ms. Dynamite rose to prominence in the early 2000s with her vocals on the UK garage underground track "Booo!", which was later released as a single. She was discovered by Richard Forbes ("DJ Sticky") at a West End club while working at the radio station RAW FM. This led to interest from major British labels, and she was eventually signed to Polydor Records through her management company, Bigga Beats. There she met producer Salaam Remi, who helped cultivate her talent.
In 2002, Ms. Dynamite released her debut album, "A Little Deeper", which featured hit songs "It Takes More" and "Dy-Na-Mi-Tee". The album won the prestigious Mercury Music Prize that same year.
