Gabriel Guerra, a.k.a. DJ Scheme, was born in Palm Beach, Florida. Although Guerra dabbled with mastering a few instruments, his focus switched more toward music production after he met fellow Southern Florida artist Wifisfuneral. After helping Wifisfuneral with his tracks, DJ Scheme started collaborating with other rappers in the tight-knit Florida scene.
In the years that followed, Scheme collaborated on songs with Kid Trunks, Ski Mask the Slump God, Craig Xen and achieved some major success as a producer for his close buddy XXXTentacion. The three-song Preseason EP, his debut solo effort, was made available and included Danny Towers, Lil Yachty and Ski Mask the Slump God. The following year, Family, a studio album with a lot of guest stars, was released. Nearly every song on the 17-track album featured well-known musicians, including prominent performers like Cordae, Ty Dolla $ign, Skrillex and a huge number of others.
