Lethal Bizzle, a British Rapper, gained enormous popularity among fans of garage and grime thanks to his graphic lyrics about violence and East London's streets. Lethal B (real name Maxwell Ansah) was drawn to the frantic energy of raves at an early age and adored the speed of drum'n'bass. Although early '90s New York hip-hop spoke to him as well, particularly the street lyrics of Nas and the Notorious B.I.G. and the hardcore dynamism of the Wu-Tang Clan, it was artists like Roni Size and Shy FX who initially motivated him to pursue music. He left college to join the More Fire Crew with friends Ozzie B and Neeko after finding success in London's pirate radio scene.
Bizzle, who rose to prominence as one of the UK's most well-liked underground artists, bore a portion of the burden of the growing reaction against grime music coming from some media and political commentators. He was particularly involved in a rhetorical spat with David Cameron, the MP and leader of the Conservative Party. The budding grime MC, though, seemed unmoved.
