Story of the Year Booking Agency Profile

Book Story of the Year for your next corporate event, function, or private party.
Rock group Tale of the Year was established in 1995 in St. Louis, Missouri. The group was first known as 67 North, then went by Big Blue Monkey until settling on Tale of the Year in 2002. With the publication of their EP, Tale of the Year, on the independent label Criterion Records, they decided to alter their name. Big Blue Monkey was a blues band that already existed, the band initially claimed, but they subsequently clarified on their podcast that they merely didn't like the name and made up the story about their being another band with the same name.

Tale of the Year's major label debut album, Page Avenue, was released in 2003, but it took them three years to achieve financial success. The songs "Till the Day I Die" and "Anthem of Our Dying Day" from this album are well-known. In the Wake of Determination, the band's second album, was released in 2005 but did not have the same level of economic success as their first. The band's third album, The Black Swan, was released in 2008 and was their initial effort with Epitaph Records. In 2010, The Constant came next.

The fifth studio album by Tale of the Year, Wolves, was crowdfunded through a pledge campaign that was fully funded in under three days. In 2017, the band revealed a brand-new song from the album. The band collaborated with renowned producers Aaron Sprinkle, Tom Lord Alge, and J Hall to finish the album, which was made available on PledgeMusic on December 1 before being made available to the general public on December 8. To support Wolves in 2019, the band performed at the Pageant in St. Louis, Missouri, for their yearly hometown concert. Tale of the Year has consistently changed their sound and wowed crowds with their dynamic live performances, staying a major player in the rock music scene throughout their existence..
