Imen, a Muslim singer from South London, hopes to become the first Hijabi artist to sell out arenas after being discovered while working as a waiter in Nando's in Streatham. She embodies diversity in terms of culture, race and religion and stands for love, acceptance and inclusion.
Imen is an internationally recognized singer who sings in English, Italian, Arabic, Spanish, French and German. She is of Moroccan heritage, was born and reared in Italy and now resides in London.
Imen, who was raised in a devout Muslim home, had to overcome several obstacles in order to follow her goal. Before her appearance on national television in Britain's Got Talent, when she went on to reach the semifinals and more crucially, win her father's approval, her father, the local mosque's imam, had never heard her sing.
Her ability was recognized by the New York label icons + giants, which had recently been established by two important hitmakers, Grammy-nominated Billy Mann & Benton James, whose past works include P!nk, John Legend and Supah Mario.
As soon as she signed a contract with icons + giants and Warner Music's ADA, Imen began to receive the recognition her talents deserved.
