Zebrahead Booking Agency Profile

Book Zebrahead for your next corporate event, function, or private party.
A punk rap group from La Habra, California, is called Zebrahead. Guitarist Greg Bergdorf, drummer Ed Udhus, bassist Ben Osmundson, and singer/rhythm guitarist Justin Mauriello created the group in the summer of 1996. The four musicians all played in other bands, but they all used the same practice room. After experimenting with various musical genres, they decided to start their own band, which they called Zebrahead. They began incorporating aspects of hip-hop into their music after being influenced by bands like Fugazi and Descendents. The addition of rapper Ali Tabatabaee as a co-vocalist gave their music a distinctive edge.

Zebrahead released its self-titled debut album in April 1998 on the independent Doctor Dream Records label. Later that year, they signed with Columbia Records and released Waste of Mind, their mainstream debut. Numerous songs from their demo release were included on the album, including "Get Back," a minor radio hit that peaked at No. 32 on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart in the United States. Their second album, Playmate of the Year, was released in August 2000 and peaked at No. 4 on the U.S. Top Heatseekers list. An EP called Stupid Fat Americans was then released as a Japan-only item in February 2001.

The band has thirteen studio albums under their belt as of 2023, with their sound morphing over time to incorporate punk, pop-punk, and alternative rock influences. Zebrahead is renowned for their upbeat live performances and memorable tunes; "Get Back" is still a crowd favorite. Over the years, the band's lineup has undergone a number of changes, with Tabatabaee replacing Mauriello as the sole lead vocalist in 2004. Zebrahead's most recent album, Brain Invaders, was released in 2019, and the band is still on the road and recording new music..

The final Zebrahead booking price is contingent on many variables and the booking fee we may show is based on a range derived from our past experience with what will Zebrahead charge for an event. An example fee to book Zebrahead is in the starting range of $2,500-$7,499. However, any recent popularity change would cause a price fluctuation well beyond this example. Also, their speaking fee might be different than the fee shown for the cost to perform or to just appear. Popularity, career stage, along with current demand will cause fluctuations in their speaking price as well. The final booking price may be more than what is shown, but you should at least have a budget within that range for them to consider an appearance, performance or speaking engagement.
CTI negotiates on behalf of professional event planners and talent buyers for paid appearances! We cannot give out direct contact information of the Zebrahead agent or help distribute fan mail, personal messages, gifts, requests for free appearances, or donations of time. There is low probability to book Zebrahead for a party with anything substantially less than the published booking cost price range. We will negotiate with the Zebrahead agent on your behalf if your funding is in place. By not having funding ready then it will more difficult to book Zebrahead, because they get many offers to work events that are at or above asking price. It is also important to consider the travel costs when researching the Zebrahead booking fee, as additional expenses like this, as well as an entourage of staff and equipment, are not necessarily built-in to the booking fee range shown. If your budget does not factor that in, then there is no benefit for them to want to be hired. We do not personally speak for Zebrahead, but in our experience in booking talent for over 25 years, this is generally the outcome of inadequate funding.
