Mid-'90s hip-hop shows brought together Evidence and Rakaa as a pair and after agreeing to start collaborating on tracks, they became Dilated Peoples. Dilated Peoples released the tracks "Third Degree" and "Work the Angles" for ABB Records after bringing in a talented turntablist, DJ Babu of the Beat Junkies.
