The first record released by DC's Dischord Records was Scream's self-titled debut album, which was followed by This Side Up. One of the first American hardcore bands to tour Europe and the UK, the band went on a national tour. They published Banging the Drum, a song that John Loder had recorded at Southern Studios in London. RAS Records, a reggae label, published the album No More Censorship. Dave Grohl, who took over for Kent Stacks for both this album and Fumble, which was released on Dischord Records, was the band's first drummer on the record.
