Noah Kohll, Corey Madden, Kyla Perlmutter and Corey Rose make up the large rock and roll band Color Green. The dynamic group's concerts are filled with extremes of raw intensity that are offset by a night's vulnerability, leaving their audience unsure of what to expect next. Color Green's appeal comes from an endless variety of inspirations, ranging from The Rolling Stones to Spiritualized: an improbable fusion of ear-popping blasts of sound and delicate harmonies.
The ensemble was created by guitar wizards Kohll and Madden after they jammed their way through the astral dimension. After playing late into the enigmatic desert evenings for two weird years, their debut EP, also titled Self-Titled, was released on Maximum Exposure. Kohll and Madden moved aimlessly around the American west before landing on their feet in Los Angeles.
Their self-titled debut, which was published on Aquarium Drunkard and ORG, starts off well. The tunes draw from several decades of the peculiar sounds of American music, which are equally fuzzy and twangy.
When Madden and Kohll team up with the sinister rhythm duo of Perlmutter and Rose, they are grounded with a strong backbone.
