Canadian singer-songwriter Goldie Boutilier's music is renowned for its cinematic quality and exploration of tragic romance, glamour, and melancholy. She was raised on the music of Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette, and it has references to her small-town upbringing with a nod to 1950s and 1960s Americana. Her passion for singing started at a young age. She performed for the first time in her hometown at the age of five with The Men of the Deeps Choir, which is the only coal miners' choir in North America.
