Yeemz is a Santa Monica, California-based composer, singer-songwriter, and cellist. She is the New England Conservatory's resident classical cellist, performing with her highly regarded piano trio, Trio Gaia. Since she was unable to bring her ukulele to college, she has been writing songs on the keyboard. However, she only started experimenting with singing and playing her cello like a guitar. Since then, Yeemz has swiftly laid the foundation for an exceptionally diverse career, giving cello lessons, recording and arranging strings for other artists, touring the world as a classical cellist, and creating her own music.
Yeemz uses her own cello playing to orchestrate her own compositions. She finds inspiration for her songs in both classical music and literature as well as indie-folk influences.
