George Wendt Booking Agency Profile

Book George Wendt for your next corporate event, function, or private party.
George Wendt is an American actor, best known for his role as the perpetually unemployed Norm Peterson on the television show Cheers. Wendt appeared in all 275 episodes of Cheers along with the characters Sam Malone and Carla Tortelli, but in the original pilot script, Norm Peterson wasn’t even a character. Wendt was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and later attended the Jesuit Rockhurst College in Kansas City, where he graduated with a bachelor’s in economics. Shortly after college, he discovered Windy City's famed Second City comedy troupe. Wendt began his acting career in the film My Bodyguard and has since been featured in many films, television series and on Broadway. George has played Santa in Elf the Musical on Broadway and Edna Turnblad in the Broadway musical Hairspray. Wendt’s handprints can be seen in cement, in front of Hollywood Hills Amphitheater at Walt Disney World's Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park..
