Garrido, who was born in Venezuela, started performing when he was five years old. He then studied flamenco in Spain with artists including Milagros Menjíbar, María Magdalena, and El Güito. In her early career, she held prominent positions with renowned organizations such as Adrián Galia's Flamenco Company and Antonio Canales' Ballet Flamenco. She established the Siudy Garrido Flamenco Company in 2000, launching a number of unique productions that were praised for their inventiveness, musicality, and theatricality. Eighty performances of her debut play Caminos Flamencos at Disney World's Epcot Center marked her first overseas engagement.
