The group’s first hit, “Up, Up and Away”, won them four Grammy’s and was only a prelude to their success. In 1975, Billy left 5th Dimension with his wife and fellow group member Marilyn McCoo. They formed a duo and released their debut album “I Hope We Get to Love in Time” in 1976. In the 1980s, Billy and Marilyn put their duo on hiatus to pursue solo ventures. Billy released a gospel album with the Reverend James Cleveland in 1982. They teamed up once again in the new millennium for the tour “It Takes Two” – a showcase of duets from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
