In order to spend more time with his family, he departed from the YES Network during the offseason. Cone went back to work in the Yankees broadcast booth in Toronto, joining Ken Singleton as an analyst for a Yankees-Blue Jays series. He is well-known for mentioning sabermetric statistics in his role as a broadcaster, citing sites like Fangraphs.com.
