Deftones Booking Agency Profile

Book Deftones for your next corporate event, function, or private party.
The American alternative metal group Deftones was founded in Sacramento, California, in 1988. They were founded by Dominic Garcia (drums), Stephen Carpenter (guitar), Chino Moreno (vocals, guitar), and Abe Cunningham (bass). The band's line-up changed frequently throughout their first five years, but settled in 1993 after Cunningham returned after leaving in 1990; at this point, Chi Cheng was the bassist. With the exception of keyboardist and turntable artist Frank Delgado, who was introduced in 1999, the roster stayed same for fifteen years. Because of the group's experimental style, some reviewers have referred to them as "the Radiohead of metal." Since the band's inception, nine albums have been released. After settling on a lineup in 1993, the group signed a recording deal with Maverick Records, and in 1995, Adrenaline, their debut album, was made available. Deftones managed to build a devoted fan base through word of mouth by aggressively touring in support of the album with other bands in the scene. Released in 1997, their second album "Around the Fur" achieved chart positions with its hits and became the group's first to be certified by the RIAA. With their third album, "White Pony" (2000), which marked a shift away from their previous, more aggressive sound and toward a more experimental direction, the band garnered even more success. The band's most commercially successful single to date is its lead single, "Change (In the House of Flies)," and the song "Elite" earned the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. It was also the band's first of three albums to receive a platinum certification in the US. In 2003, they published their fourth album under their own name. Although the band continued to receive positive reviews, sales lagged behind White Pony. After the release of "Diamond Eyes" in 2010, the band went on a North American triple-headline tour with Alice in Chains and Mastodon. The band continued to take experimental turns on their seventh and eight.

Many performers, actors, speakers and other talent like Deftones in certain cases will consider virtual appearances via live streaming. They perhaps may accept lower fees too. Deftones's current work schedule and location in relation to your event's type, date, budget, and locality will play a primary factor in the acceptance of booking Deftones for your party. As long as your funding is commensurate with the price range to book Deftones, CTI will propose your event to the official agency representing Deftones. CTI can give you the accurate Deftones booking price once we submit your event details to their camp. "How much does it cost to book Deftones for an event?" is a frequent question we get. The final Deftones booking price is contingent on many variables and the booking fee we may show is based on a range derived from our past experience with what will Deftones charge for an event. An example fee to book Deftones is in the starting range of $300,000-$499,000. However, any recent popularity change would cause a price fluctuation well beyond this example. Also, their speaking fee might be different than the fee shown for the cost to perform or to just appear. Popularity, career stage, along with current demand will cause fluctuations in their speaking price as well. The final booking price may be more than what is shown, but you should at least have a budget within that range for them to consider an appearance, performance or speaking engagement.
CTI negotiates on behalf of professional event planners and talent buyers for paid appearances! We cannot give out direct contact information of the Deftones agent or help distribute fan mail, personal messages, gifts, requests for free appearances, or donations of time. The Deftones manager and agent will only work with us if we present them with funded offers for their client to work your event.
There is low probability to book Deftones for a party with anything substantially less than the published booking cost price range. We will negotiate with the Deftones agent on your behalf if your funding is in place. By not having funding ready then it will more difficult to book Deftones, because they get many offers to work events that are at or above asking price. It is also important to consider the travel costs when researching the Deftones booking fee, as additional expenses like this, as well as an entourage of staff and equipment, are not necessarily built-in to the booking fee range shown. If your budget does not factor that in, then there is no benefit for them to want to be hired. We do not personally speak for Deftones, but in our experience in booking talent for over 25 years, this is generally the outcome of inadequate funding.
