Adrian Gonzalez, also known as A-Gon and Titan, was most recently the first baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball. His ability was noticed while attending Eastlake High School in San Diego. He was drafted out of high school by the Florida Marlins in 2000, becoming the first infielder since Alex Rodriguez in 03 to be drafted in the first round. He played for their minor league teams until being traded to the Texas Rangers after an injury in 2004. He played respectably with the Rangers until being traded to the San Diego Padres, his hometown team, in 2006. He was used as a replacement for fellow first basemen Ryan Klesko when he underwent shoulder surgery in 2006. This allowed him to improve his hitting and his defense. He was named Player of the Week in July of 06. He signed a four-year deal with the Padres in 2007. That year he led all MLB first baseman. He led the Padres in home runs for 07 and 08 and was elected as a reserve for the 08 All-Star Game. 2008 also stood as the year he won his first Gold Glove Award, of which he has four. In 2009 he was named MVP of the Padres, title he received the following two years as well. He was traded to the Boston Red Sox in 2011, but stayed for only two seasons before being traded to the LA Dodgers..
