Don Davis is an American former professional football linebacker and former NFL coach. Davis was born in Olathe, Kansas, and he began his career playing football in high school as well as baseball and track and field. While playing football in high school, Davis was a letterman, a first team All-League selection and a second team All-Metropolitan selection. Davis went on to play college football at the University of Kansas where he was a three-year starter and finished his college career with 238 tackles and 9.5 sacks and also earned his degree in Human Development. Davis went on to go undrafted and was later signed as an undrafted free agent by the New Orleans Saints in the NFL. After playing for the Saints for two years, Davis went on to also play for teams which include the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, St. Louis Rams and New England Patriots, the latter of which he won two Super Bowl championships with. After retiring as a player, Davis began working as an assistant strength and conditioning coach before leaving to pursue Christian ministry.
