Jason Elam is a former American professional football placekicker who has played in the NFL. Elam was born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and he began his career playing football in high school where he was a first-team all-county honoree and second-team all-state. Elam went on to play college football at the University of Hawaii where he scored the third-most points in NCAA history with 397 and tied for the second-most field goals kicked at 79. He also held the all-time leading scorer record in the Western Athletic Conference, was a WAC Special Teams Player of the Year, and was a three-time All-WAC selection. After earning his degree, Elam went on to be selected in the third round of the NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. Elam spent almost the entirety of his career playing with the Broncos and played with them for 14 years. During his time there he was a three-time Pro Bowl selection, three-time second-team All-Pro, and helped them to win two Super Bowl championships. He also set several NFL records including best extra point conversion percentage at .995, most consecutive seasons with at least 100 points at 15, and more.
