Hailey was born in Monroe, North Carolina, and he began his career performing gospel music while living in Baltimore, Maryland, and he began releasing music under the name Little Cedric. During this time, Hailey recorded three gospel albums with his brother Joel and his father Hailey under the stage name Little Cedric and the Hailey Singers. The albums “Jesus Saves” and “God’s Blessing” went on to peak in the Billboard Gospel Albums chart.
