Born in Votkinsk, a small village in the Pre-Ural area, Andrey spent more than 25 years collecting and performing vinyl records professionally, which helped him break into the global underground scene.
A professional DJ's career began at the age of 15. His enthusiasm for electronic sound continued to grow despite the scarcity of resources for learning about alternative underground music and culture before and after the fall of the Soviet Union, leading him to devote his entire life to it. As a result of his lifetime's worth of searching and sharing, he is currently spinning vinyl at clubs, large-scale festivals, and broadcasting at Boiler Room, Mixmag Lab and live broadcasts.
He had the lead role in Anatoliy Ivanov's documentary Kvadrat, which exposes the reality of DJing and was shot in five different nations. Because it presented the other, more vulnerable side of the industry and exposed a romanticized idea of the life of an electronic musician, this film had a significant influence on the underground community.
As a producer, he currently concentrates mostly on ambient and dub sound as a way to convey a message from the inside out without being swayed by passing fads.
