His busy schedule resulted in traveling over 40 weeks a year. In 2004, he and his family returned to Utah, where he ran for and was ultimately elected 16th Governor of Utah. His popular policies won him reelection in 2008 with over 78 percent of the state-wide vote. Huntsman was unanimously confirmed as the Ambassador to China, resigning the Governorship of Utah to accept the post.
