Dr. Carson, along with his wife, co-founded the Carson Scholars Fund. With this program, over 10,000 scholars from various backgrounds have received scholarships based on their exceptional humanitarian and academic achievements. The program has, so far, given out over $8 million worth of scholarship money and created over 250 Ben Carson Reading Rooms throughout the U.S..
